John Hildreth - serves as District Administrator. John is responsible for implementing the annual plan of operations. John represents the district as a member of the Richland Regional Planning Commission. He has served as Past President and is now, treasurer of Malabar Farm Foundation, Ohio Rural Development Partnership, Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District's Development Advisory Committee, and District 16 representative of the Clean Ohio Fund. John represents the board by encouraging local communities and government to align to a watershed management plan for flooding, stormwater management, and logjam and emergency management. John and his wife Kim live in Worthington Township and also operates a wholesale tree nursery. Kim is the coordinator for the City of Mansfield's Litter Prevention and Recycling Program.

Bonnie Thomas - serves as Administrative Assistant and Public Relations Coordinator. Bonnie has diverse experience in Customer Service, Human Resources and Marketing, which is an asset to this position. Bonnie coordinates the districts tree & fish program along with the annual meeting and banquet. She resides at Candlewood Lake with her husband Allen. Bonnie's interests are flower gardening, antiques and collecting Early American Reproductions.

Tim Brandt - is the Urban Technician, CPESCO for our district Conservation District. Having worked in different capacities within the county for 26 years, he has good understanding of the needs of residents and problem solving abilities.
A graduate of North Central State College with a degree in Drafting and Design he recently received a certificate as a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control. In his spare time Tim enjoys fishing, woodworking and singing barbershop with the Fun Center Chordsman and sings tenor with a local quartet “Bravada”.

Diana Kelley - serves as the District's Environmental Education Coordinator. Diana has worked for the District since she graduated from college in 1986. She is responsible for conducting classroom/civic group presentations. Diana's family resides in Mifflin Township. Her husband, Mike, is the Vice President of CMI in Galion and her daughter Casey keeps her busy with sporting events and horse shows. In her free time Diana is also a 4-H advisor, serves as President of the county 4-H horse council, and enjoys showing her family's antique tractors and cars.

Matt Christian - is the Agricultural District Technician. Matt is from Richland County and has lived in the county his entire life. Matt has always been interested in activities that benefit the environment. He enjoys hunting, fishing and outdoor photography. Matt has property that he is developing as a habitat for wildlife. Matt's personal interest in the outdoors and environment is a great asset to our district.

Tony Studer - came on board August of 2005 and serves as an Urban Technician. He graduated from Madison Comprehensive High School in 1997 and went on to study Environmental Biology at Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio. Tony’s main focus is to learn all aspects of being an Urban Technician and is excited to have the opportunity to assist landowners with conservation questions. Tony’s hobbies include golfing, fishing and home renovation projects. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends. Tony is a great addition to the district team.

Meet the Supervisors

Your District Board brings to the county a diverse group of professions and experience.

Jerry Schumacher is our 2006 Chairman. He is co-owner of Shu-Fox Inc. a second-generation grain operation that encompasses a three county area. He is also involved with cattle, reforestation and timber brokerage. Jerry and his wife Debby reside in Sharon Township.

Roger Cook Serves as Vice-Chairman. He is employed by AK Steel in Mansfield and operates the Cook Family Farm raising beef and grain. Roger and his wife Pam reside in Mifflin Township where Roger is a Trustee.

Wayne Weirick is the district's treasurer. He is currently serving his 22nd year as a Troy township trustee. He has also served as the township's zoning inspector and on the townships zoning board of appeals. He has owned the Weirick Excavating Company for over twenty-four years. Wayne and his wife Sue reside in Troy Township.

Charles Winger Serves as Secretary. He is the Corporate Training Consultant for North Central State College . He also raises replacement heifers at his Heritage Hill Farm. Charles serves as Chairman for the Malabar Farm Foundation www.malabarfarm.org that is currently campaigning for a two million dollar education center at Malabar Farm. He and his wife Diane reside in Mifflin Township. Diane is past president for the Ohio Federation of SWCD's Auxiliary

Bob Winbigler serves as Member at Large. Bob operates a sawmill and wood kiln business outside of Butler, in Worthington Township. Bob is also active with the Ohio Forestry Association. Bob and his wife Diane have been life long residents of Richland County.
